SSC & Cambridge exams across Pakistan are postponed till June 2020; Coronavirus pandemic


Postponed of SSC examination:

Pakistan elementary and secondary education Pakistan  postponed the annual examination of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in almost all regions of the country, The PKNN TV learnt on Friday.
As per the notification issued by the minister of education, it decided to postpone the SSC annual examination in 29 boards across the country. The examination was to be held in March, April, May and some in June in different regions of the country. However the E&SEs decided to postpone the examination due to closure of educational institutions in all regions due to emergency imposed by authorities after the confirmation of novel coronavirus disease  (COVID-19) in the regions. The notification issued said that revised schedule will uploaded soon.
While on the other hand Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood said on Tuesday that O and A levels examinations to be held in May and June 2020, have been postponed. “Since many people are asking it is clarified that this decision to postpone O and A level was taken in a meeting where Ms Uzma Yousaf, head of Cambridge in Pakistan was present,” he tweeted. In an earlier tweet, the minister had said that the exams had been postponed and new dates will be announced by Cambridge. He further announced that upcoming exams to be conducted by the federal and provincial boards would also be postponed and would be held later between June 01 and July 15 as per the discretion of the respective boards.

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the decision taken by the federal  and provintial cabinets and the subsequent  Notification issued by E&SE Department, the undersigned has been pleased to postpone the SSC Annual Examination with immediate effect up to June 2020. Revised Schedule will be issued later on.
