Partial Curfew:
Khadim Herman Sharifin Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz has ordered a partial curfew across the state from Monday, March 23, for twenty-one days, to control the spread of the Corona virus, to the health and safety of citizens and foreigners.According to the Arab News and the Saudi News Agency (SPA), the royal decree states that "the curfew will continue for 21 days from 7am to 6pm daily."
King Salman bin Abdul Aziz issued the order following a health ministry statement that said that 119 new Corona patients had arrived on Sunday.
The total number has increased to 511 in Saudi Arabia.
Citizens and resident foreigners have been asked to stay in their homes during curfew times for their own protection.
Employees in key public and private sector industries whose work requires continuous performance will be exempt from the curfew.
Security personnel, soldiers, media sector employees, workers in key areas of health and services are also exempt.
The Interior Ministry will take necessary steps to implement the curfew, the statement said.
All civil and military officials have been ordered to cooperate fully with the Interior Ministry in this regard.
