China becomes more powerful and aggressive with time: US

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken has said that "progressively powerful China is challenging world order."

According to the French news agency AFP, in an interview broadcast on Sunday, the US Secretary of State said that China is acting in a 'more repressive' and 'more aggressive' way because it increases its influence. '

Speaking on CBS's 60 Minutes program, Anthony Blanken said: "What we've seen for the last several years is that China is more aggressive at home and more aggressive abroad.

The statement came after US President Joe Biden's first address to Congress last Wednesday.

The US president has said he does not want to escalate tensions with China.

Joe Biden said he had told Chinese President Xi Jinping that "we welcome competition and we are not looking for conflict" to become the dominant power of the 21st century.

However, Anthony Blanken quoted China as saying in an interview: "China is one of the countries in the world that undermines or challenges the rule of law, which we care so much about and are committed to defending. Has military, economic and diplomatic capabilities.

"But I want to be very clear about something. Our goal is not to control China, to push it back, to keep it down, but to maintain the system based on the rules that China has, is in danger," he added.

Tensions between the United States and China have risen over the years as the United States continues to discuss Beijing's military action and human rights record. This includes the issue of the Muslim Uighur minority, which Washington has called genocide.
