King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Thursday telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and condemned the announcement of the inclusion of West Jordan into the Israeli state and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and government.
According to Saudi news agency SPA, King Salman rejected the announcement of the Israeli Prime Minister and said that the decision was unacceptable for Saudi Arabia.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced during the election campaign that if he wins the parliamentary elections, Gordon Arden, the Northern Territory of the Dead Sea and the ghetto will become part of the Israeli state.
King Salman also said that the Israeli Prime Minister has announced a serious issue against the rights of the Palestinian people by announcing the inclusion of West Jordan into the Israeli state. The Palestinian President said that on the declaration of the Israeli Prime Minister concerning West Jordan, Saudi Arabia has made a valuable move by highlighting the Muslim world's joint response, urging the Muslim Foreign Ministers to convene a meeting on Israeli ambitions and agree on urgent measures. He also expressed his disappointment over the Saudi statement issued in this regard.
This is making tension in the region because previously the Israel state announce the grasping of the new territory "Ghurab Urdan" in the state of Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is being criticized for his plan to include West Jordan in Israel.
Netanyahu is facing severe criticism from Palestinians, Arab countries, the UN and the European Union.
UN spokesman Stephen Dvojirk has said that "if such measures were implemented, they would be in violation of international law."
"This will also be devastating for the resumption of peace talks in the region."
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he would extend Israel's boundaries to the West Jordan and the North Sea Dead after being re-elected.
He further said that if the people succeeded him with a clear majority in the elections, they would ensure implementation of this project immediately after taking office.
According to the news agency AFP, the European Union also reiterated the UN objection, saying that the project is a threat to the prospects of lasting peace in the region.
According to Palestinian leaders, "Netanyahu is destroying hopes of peace", while Hanan Ashwari, a key official, described it as worse than racial prejudice.
Netanyahu's plan could stake a 1994 peace agreement between the two neighboring countries, said Atif El Tarahan, speaker of the Jordanian parliament.
It is thought that there will be new elections in Israel on September 17th. Earlier, no party had failed to gain a clear majority in the April elections, which led to the announcement of re-election.
Netanyahu's main opposition candidate, Blue and White 'party chief Benny Gantz, called the announcement of Netanyahu an attempt to gain support from right-wing parties.
Leaders of other smaller parties, who are contending for Netanyahu in the election, have called it an announcement after "too late."
According to Israeli Minister of Education Bezalel Smoterch, "Why are affiliation talks being held a week before the election, while the government can decide to implement it anytime they want?"
However, Isaiah Council, representing Israeli settlers, called the announcement "historic."
