COVID: India's world record, 2650+ deaths in 24 hours | PKNN TV

            India shattered the previous year's United States records by reaching 350,000+ cases and 2650+ deaths of COVID-19 in a single day. Hospitals across northern and western India including the capital, New Delhi, have issued notices to say they have only a few hours of medical oxygen required to keep Covid-19 patients alive.

More than two-thirds of hospitals had no vacant beds, according to the Delhi government's online database and doctors advised patients to stay at home.

The Supreme court of India says; The country is facing a national emergency situation as its health system on its knees under the second wave of coronavirus patients. It has been confirmed that 2650+ died and 350,000 new cases in the last 24 hours which is a global record of 3rd day running.

Report from the emergency ward; 

            The front line and emergency room in the covid hospital, just about standing under the weight of an unfolding disaster. A patient who is hardly breathing is brought in. To get past the shortage of beds they are kept in stretchers, wheelchairs as many as they can, but the first line of treatment against COVID-19 is OXYGEN, and they are almost run out. At this point, there is only a single supply left. The staff knew, how many lives hang in the balance. People are being turned away but they don't know where they will find oxygen or a bed. The intensive care unit (ICU) is full too. There is no single ICU bed in the city of 20 million people.
        

    According to a doctor from a hospital in Dehli; " There is no space, so patients who need ICU come to the casualty right, what do I do, what do I do, there is no physical space, putting patients whatever support there is, trying to organize bed somewhere, but once there is no beds, no physical space as you can see to put another trolly, we can only do that much " he further explained, " Government was aware of this situation that it may become worse but didn't think to manage oxygen supply in the earlier surge, another thing is that government is allowing large gatherings which totally unacceptable."

        There is helplessness and anger. Some oxygen arrived a bit later but that only lasts a few hours, then the struggle begins again.
As we all know, India has recently developed a vaccine, which is a fantastic achievement, but they fail to grant oxygen to COVID-19 patients who had already been admitted or who had just arrived.
The government of India and also neighbor country Pakistan spend billions of dollars in defense but don't think of the investment in health which is crucial.

Oxygen supply in Delhi's hospitals has been cut off while daily coronavirus cases exceed 3 lac, Indians are appealing for international help right now....!
Third-world countries like Pakistan & India really need to invest some of their budgets in their people at least they can breathe easily rather than purchasing weapons.
